iiNet (ASX:IIN) wants you to meet BoB, an all-in-one home communications solution designed specifically for the Australian market.

Developed by iiNet in conjunction with Belkin, the Internet and phone unit allows simultaneous connection of multiple technologies.

The unit offers compatibility with home wireless and wired computers, gaming consoles like the Xbox and USB storage and is able to double as a charger for devices such as iPods and BlackBerrys.

An optional cordless phone handset allows users to make calls over the Internet using iiNet’s Naked DSL broadband without a phone line. The unit also allows users to connect up to five handsets simultaneously.

Available in sleek black, the company said in a statement that the glass-look unit was designed to be displayed.

“You just plug BoB in and he automatically downloads what you need to get online, meaning you’re up and running in minutes” said Australian head of product development, Anthony Malone, in the statement.

BoB is available exclusively to new and existing iiNet customers.
