Three Acer notebooks have been added to Telstra’s Next G device range.
The added range features two Aspire One 10-inch netbooks and the 14-inch Aspire 4810T Timeline notebook, all with built-in Next G wireless modem and Wi-Fi. The products will be available from 33 selected Telstra retail outlets. Customers can have the notebooks set-up in store for immediate Internet access. All three Acer devices have the telco’s MyPlace application for ease of setup and connection.
In a press statement, Acer product general manager, Nigel Gore, said this new partnership with Telstra simplifies the consumer process of buying a notebook.
Payment is through a monthly plan which packages up the cost of the notebook and wireless broadband. Telstra offers the units from $30.38 per months for 24 months on a $39 data plan. Minimum cost is $1665.12 plus data usage charges.

Why netbooks were created, I'll never know, but they are an utter waste of time, space and planetary resources.
Just build better NOTEbooks please.
