WhiteGold Solutions will bring fledgling backup and storage vendor, TADASoft, into the Australian market.
TADASoft’s main product is Restorepoint, an integrated hardware and software solution for network administrators. It is designed to make it easy to automatically backup, store and restore the configuration of network devices.
WhiteGold managing director, Dominic Whitehand, said the solution would be used as both a channel play and to form a managed service.
The managed service will provide a multi-vendor network device config backup in the cloud, and supports devices from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Extreme Networks, Riverbed, Brocade, F5, Blue Coat, Barracuda, WatchGuard, Fortinet and Check Point.
“It’s a very young vendor, but it’s already winning awards in the UK and Europe,” Whitehand said.
“We are looking at ramping up our storage portfolio, but this is also a security and storage play, as it provides disaster recovery. We don’t think it will clash with anything else we carry.”
In a release, TADASoft director, Rory Nolan, said WhiteGold was selected on the basis of its loyal partner base, which it would be putting a lot of time and resources into.
“The partnership with WhiteGold Solutions brings our technology into the wider market and shows how far the TADASoft product is now being sold and supported from our original UK base,” Nolan said.
