Bye bye Protac?

Building vacated, website removed, PC components distributor appears to have gone

Rumours that Protac has exited the distribution business persist, with further indications that its business has ceased.

The Protac website (protac.com.au) appears to be no longer operating. The link now directs users to domain host Melbourne IT.

Further, sources close to the organisation claim the office has been vacated. Calls to the landline of managing director, Gary Jeng, had not been returned at time of writing.

Despite denying that the PC components distributor was exiting the business early in June, Protac listed its warehouse property at realcommercial.com.au

The rumours first emerged in May when the distributor began reducing head count and inventory levels.

Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
