Application development vendor, CyTrack, has formed a Unified Communications partnership with Distribution Central.
CyTrack produces a range of unified communications, call centre and business intelligence application solutions, and is the first of a number of vendors Distribution Central is looking at.
“With Unity Systems we have the architecture products already in our portfolio – what we need is to be able to launch unified communications applications on top of the architecture,” Distribution Central sales and marketing director, Nick Verykios, said.
“CyTrack is the first of many applications we’ll be launching – we’re also looking at proposals from another eight vendors.
“Integrated video, collaborative work grouping and mobile messaging are the other applications we’re looking at – they’re the key areas that corporations are looking at.”
Managing director of CyTrack, Nick Milan, said the partnership with Unity Systems was appealing as it gave the vendor greater reach into the IT market.
Unity Systems is the second distributor for CyTrack, with the other being LG-Nortel partner, Aria Technologies.
“I don’t expect there to be much competition between the two,” Milan said. “Distribution Central is more into the IT space – an area we see our products taken up well in – and it and Aria operate in different parts of the market.”
CyTrack is not actively sourcing further distributor partners, Milan added.
