Fuji Xerox has taken its first step into managed print retail ticketing solutions with partner, IconIQ.
The vendor has won a deal to implement a printing solution into the Independent Liquor Group (ILG) – a chain of about 100 stores.
Under the agreement Little Bottler retail outlets in NSW and Queensland will adopt IconIQ’s SignIQ to print customised promotional and marketing material in-store using Fuji Xerox printers, and will then be charged a fixed cost per page.
The vendor has offered managed print solutions through its partners in the past, but retail ticketing has a number of specific requirements.
Fuji Xerox national sales manager, David Borg, said ticketing could be a highly inefficient process for retailers.
A managed print solution will help retailers streamline operational processes, as promotional materials do not have to be printed, stored or transported to individual stores.
“As an overall concept, managed print services is in massive demand, with fixed costs and consistency in an easy format,” Borg said.
“We’re seeing 200-2000 as being the sweet spot for this kind of solution.”
