TNBNco gets Doug Campbell as chair for the rollout in Tasmania

The Federal Government has picked former Alcatel COO and president, Mike Quigley as executive chairman of the NBNco.

Quigley has 36 years experience with Alcatel and came back to Australia after helping the company through its merger with Lucent technologies.

In a statement from the Federal Government, it was announced Quigley will "commence his role immediately and be actively involved in the NBN Implementation Study".

Meanwhile, former Tesltra executive Doug Campbell as announced as the chair of TNBNco, the company set up to rollout the first steps of the NBN in Tasmania.

The rest of the NBNco board is expected to be announced this week.
