Product Wars - Windows XP the most popular by far

Vote for your favourite now

Windows XP has won both hearts and minds in the channel, with the enterprise stalwart staying on top with a preferred votes rate of 80 per cent despite tough competition from the rest of the Windows OS range.

In a result that will be disappointingly familiar to Microsoft, Windows Vista came off second best (71 per cent) while its predecessor, Windows 2000, was third (60 per cent).

Windows 98 (48 per cent) narrowly edged out Windows 95 (45 per cent) to score fourth and fifth place, respectively.

Next week’s ARN Product Wars showcases a wide-ranging and very heated competition. Digital SLRs will enter the ring, so back a winner and get clicking!

Candidates: Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III, Canon EOS 50D, Sony A900, Nikon D3x, Canon EOS 1000D, Pentax K20D, Nikon D300, Nikon D200, Olympus E-520,
