Software vendor, Compuware Corporation, has appointed Steve Jobson as its new vice-president for Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
The 20-year Compuware veteran will be based in Sydney. His key responsibility will be to execute Compuware’s Business Service Delivery strategy across the region.
Jobson was previously based in London as Compuware’s vice-president responsible for Northern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
According to a statement, Jobson views new technologies such as Web services, virtualisation and cloud computing as “disruptive” and contends they “increase the difficulty of getting applications to deliver value back to the business”.
Jobson holds a biochemistry degree and has worked in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.

New guy, old guy....
Steve also used to be the MD of the Australian business from 2003 - 2005 until he returned to the UK. So, it's just history repeating itself. Nice guy but he couldn't fix the problems then and I can't see what has changed.
