Lan 1 has been appointed as an authorised service provider for Overland Storage.
The key product covered by the arrangement is the vendor’s Snap Server line, with the IP surveillance space as the key target market.
“We see a big need for storage in surveillance,” Lan 1 technical services manager, Colin Baker, said. “Customers can produce up to 500GB of data per day.
“Under the arrangement we will be proactively selling the storage products with surveillance cameras, and we’re logistically set up to offer 24/7 post-sales support if the customer wishes.”
Lan 1 marketing communications executive, Mathew Bertram, said the distributor had found that with surveillance customers are looking for complete solutions out of the box.
“We can specify, design and install a solution across our four focus areas – IP Storage, IP Networking, IP Security and IP Surveillance if our reseller is not able to for the customer,” Bertram said.
“We’ll be active in taking the products and solution to trade events, and it will be a part of our direct marketing efforts.”
Lan 1 also recently formed a partnership with Motorola for its AirDefence products.
