Emantra is absorbing the licensing cost of software developer, Nintex’s workflow process product by integrating the application with its Hosted Microsoft SharePoint package.
The Nintex Workflow 2007 is a business automation software that allows users to build complex workflow processes through a drag and drop method with pre-built templates. It employs a Web browser interface and is compatible with SharePoint and MOSS services.
The software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider will incorporate the license of the product in the company’s standard SharePoint offering. Emantra managing director highlighted Workflow 2007’s ability to ease the support burden as the cornerstone of this decision.
“Customers would often call up to for help in regards to workflow functions within their Hosted SharePoint and the Nintex offering perform the tasks without the need for coding expertise,” he said.
Dewar also said that by making Workflow 2007 a standard feature, Emantra could provide a more comprehensive SharePoint offering which will appeal to potential clients.
The company will automatically apply the new application to existing multi-tenant customers. Virtual and dedicated users will be contacted and Emantra will coordinate with them before any changes are made to their servers.
Educational campaigns will also be available to the service provider’s reseller channel.
