Kaspersky secures new channel program

New three-tier model to give partners better resources, while encourage those sitting on the fence to join up with the vendor

Security vendor, Kaspersky Lab, has enhanced its channel support with a new partner program.

The three-tier program allows partners to sign on as accredited partners, gold partners or platinum partners. It will offer financial incentives, access to technical support and services, training and certification and better marketing skills and selling enablement.

Kaspersky Lab channel manager, Andrew Mamonitis, said the program was developed following the vendor’s establishment of a Melbourne office.

“We wanted to provide partners with more localised support, and grow our channel further,” Mamonitis said.

The program is similar in nature to other programs the vendor runs globally, but was localised in terms of training and pre- and post-sales support, he said.

“We’ve had a positive reaction from our existing partner network – it’s something they’ve been looking forward to for a while,” Mamonitis said. “We are hoping it will help us significantly broaden our presence in the market.”
