Altech chills with Arctic

New partnership to further expand PC components distributor's enthusiast hardware offering

Altech Computers is looking to build on its enthusiast range through a new partnership with vendor, Arctic Cooling.

The enthusiast vendor produces a range of cooling solutions for VGA cards. Altech marketing manager, Kevin Hartin, said the vendor fitted well with its other cooling solutions.

“We have a number of cooling vendors in our portfolio, but this is complementary as it offers cooling for VGA cards, as opposed to CPU,” Hartin said.

“We’re not specifically looking to form other partnerships in this space, however we’re finding more and more that vendors are approaching us as a possible candidate to represent them.”

Hartin pointed to Altech’s increased national presence and reputation as an enthusiast distributor as drivers for the increased interest.

Altech also recently expanded its printer portfolio with a partnership with Lexmark and recently hired Janto Lim as its national sales manager.

Confused reseller

marketing manager but no expert

Interesting that Altech would take on yet another cooling brand. They have so many now that i am lost in what to offer my customers, although they do seem to vary in quality and performance.

However i am suprised to see that their marketing manager knows nothing of their current solutions otherwise he would know that they already sell cooling for VGA by Zalman & ThermalRight.
