Phoenix Toner improves relations with Brother

Specialist distributor, Phoenix Toner, has continued to build on its partnership with Brother, and now has access to its entire range.
The distributor previously had access to Brother’s consumables, as well as its P-touch labellers and QL label printers. The two companies have been working together for three and a half years, though this will be the first time Phoenix can access Brother’s print range as a distributor.
“This is the last piece of the Brother puzzle for us,” Phoenix Toner general manager, Don Bentley, said. “We’ve been selling Brother hardware in the past, but buying it as a reseller. The new arrangement means we can purchase it at a lower price.”
The plan is to offer the Brother range as part of its managed print services offering, Bentley said.
Brother also recently upgraded its Synnex partnership. National sales manager, Kim Ward, said that while there will always be some overlap between distributors, Phoenix Toner had a different customer base and go-to-market strategy.
“We’re confident that this is an opportunity for us to grow our market share,” Ward said. “We’ve had a long partnership with Phoenix Toner – this really just formalises parts of the relationship that opens up better opportunities for us both.”
Brother is also represented by Synnex, XiT, Cellnet, Express Online, Leader Computers, Printcom and RDT.
