Fixed wireless broadband vendor, BigAir, is looking for new partners following a recent network expansion.
The company has launched its first channel partner program in Brisbane and the Gold Coast and is actively seeking partners in those regions.
Following on from a network rollout in Perth, BigAir recently finished its WiMAX broadband service extension in Queensland from North Brisbane to the Gold Cost. New South Wales also received bolstered coverage for many outer Sydney suburbs. An Adelaide network rollout is in the works and is slated to be completed by the end of June.
“Before the new program, Queensland resellers we’re buying services from our original Sydney Network,” BigAir CEO, Jason Ashton, said. “We want to directly target the Queensland market with the channel.”
The program has a three-tier structure with the entry level consisting of resellers that still rely on BigAir to provide end-to-end support and billing systems. Level two are wholesalers that manage their own billings but do not offer support. Level three interconnect partners have their own value-added services which are laid over the network provider's wireless data link.
BigAir is hunting for five partners in each of the three categories to target different end-customer segments.
“We try to keep partners to a minimum so we can have a higher level of integration with them for a more beneficial relationship,” Ashton said. “We are looking for partners who are closely aligned to particular vertical segments where our product has a natural fit, such as visual media space, post production, and the medical imaging industry.”
The company is also seeking partners for its impending Adelaide network.
