Software vendor, Nuance, has added another distributor to its stable. Addcom has been brought on-board to target telecommunications.
Under the partnership, Addcom will have access to the vendor’s Dragon NaturallySpeaking software, and will take it to its channel.
Nuance channel manager A/NZ, Vicki Rigg, said the partnership gave Nuance access to a different market to its current partner base.
“It’s part of our growth plans” Rigg said. “Voice recognition is becoming more mainstream, especially in government and commercial sectors, so we saw this as an opportunity to broaden our market share.”
Nuance’s focus continued to be on education, government and retail markets with its overall product range, Rigg said.
In a release, managing director of Addcom, Craig Alvarez, said its current product range was focused on voice, and its partners come to it through its voice recording and headsets divisions.
“Our clients are always looking for ways to improve efficiency, the products for Nuance are a way to achieve this,” Alvarez said in the release.
