NSC has appointed Michael Clarkson as its national services manager to bolster its managed services business.
Clarkson will be responsible for managing the integrator’s managed services portfolio in the newly-created role.
“I left Avaya last year and was looking to join a company that I could work across a number of different products,” he said. “NSC is a growing company and I felt it was a good opportunity.”
NSC has ambitious plans to grow its managed services business, which currently accounts for a third of its overall business. It has plans to appoint five more staff to various roles.
“It’s been a successful area for us, and there are more opportunities as people shift from a CapEx to OpEx model,” Clarkson said.
He has more than 20 years experience in the ICT industry in a variety of roles with companies such as Telstra, AT&T and Avaya, and with the NSW Police, . In his previous role at Avaya, he spent 10 years as its director of maintenance and managed services.
Last month, NSC won a contract with the Australian National University to implement an Avaya solution.
