Canberra-based document creation provider, Intelledox, has appointed Phil Jacobs to the new role of chief marketing officer.
Jacobs will be responsible for brand building and marketing strategies, with a focus on its expansion into Asian markets.
“I have 30 days to work out the marketing plan for next year, and then I’ll take that to the board,” Jacobs said.
“Clearly we need to improve the profile of the company… and target high-profile customers and segments across a number of verticals we’re working.”
Jacobs was previously the chief marketing officer of Canberra-based start-up and independent software vendor, Protocom, until it merged with ActivCard to become ActivIdentity in 2005. He then served as the vice-president of marketing and communications for ActivIdentity.
Jacobs also runs his own marketing consultancy company, Phil Jacobs Marketing, which he will continue to operate in a diminished capacity.
Earlier this year Intelledox launched its software-as-a-service solution into the Australian market.
