Specialist distributor, POS POS, has formed a partnership with Motorola to bring the vendor's data capture portfolio to market.
POS POS’ strategy will be to target key verticals such as Government and healthcare with the Motorola solutions, POS POS CEO, Avner Danielli said.
“Motorola is a leader in the data capture market. We see this as an opportunity for us to fill a few holes in our product portfolio and go after areas that Motorola has not typically been as strong,” he said.
On the back of the deal the distributor will be able to target resellers in fields such as supply chain, wireless LAN and mobile computing technologies, Danielli added.
The distributor is also expanding its headcount to service the Motorola business with the appointment of Steven Debois to the newly created vendor development manager role.
“We’re doing well in the market at the moment, and we’re seeing Australia and New Zealand surviving the economic crisis relatively well,” Danielli said.
“We’re not looking to take on more vendors at this stage – as we see ourselves as a value-adding distributor we don’t want to just be putting products on shelves. We’re happy with the product line up that we have at the moment.”
POS POS’ other vendors include Zebra Technologies, Epson and Wincor Nixdorf. Danielli said he expected to be minimal overlap between the vendors’ solutions.
