Updated: CSC scores WA Police contracts worth $135 million

Integrator will provide SAP applications support as well as provide IT infrastructure to the Western Australia Police

CSC has secured two IT integration contracts with the Western Australia Police.

The first contract, worth $15 million, will see the integrator provide SAP application upgrade and maintenance support services for the WA Police business operations resource management information system.

In the second contract, worth $120 million, CSC will compete with fellow services provider, Ajilon, to provide infrastructure, applications development, systems integration and consultancy services.

“CSC has worked with the WA Police for over a decade,” CSC WA general manager, Mike Horton, told ARN. “We were previously doing the infrastructure work exclusively, such as network and security.

“With this contract, we move over to the project side of things, creating and implementing new applications.”

In a statement, CSC said it will provide its own police-approved employees as well as sourcing staff from local providers such as NGIS, Agile Computing, Trilogy Resources and Dialog to service the contracts. The staffing model is scalable and specific to the requirements of the WA Police, which covers three regions, 14 districts and 162 police stations.

Both contracts will run for five years with five separate optional one-year extensions.
