Corporate Express appoints new IT division chief

Ahmed Latif takes over the position from former IT Solutions director, Marcus Heron

ASX-listed reseller, Corporate Express, has appointed Ahmed Latif to head up its IT Solutions division. He replaces Marcus Heron, who left abruptly in February after 19 years with the company.

Latif joined Corporate Express in November 2007 as NSW state manager, and has extensive experience in the IT industry including stints with vendors, distributors and systems integrators. Prior to joining Corporate Express, he was part of the Volante sales team acquired by former industry heavyweight, Commander.

His new role sees him leading the IT Solutions team at Corporate Express across hardware, software and professional services.

“We’re taking a real look at how we do our business – we have had success for several years, and we’re looking at ways to build on that,” Latif said. “It’s an exciting time for Corporate Express and I’m looking forward to it.”

In a statement, COO, Malcolm Keefe, said Latif was a great asset to the team and had proven to be a strong leader in his NSW state role.
