Designed to be an all-in-one gateway solution, the WAG54G2 combines the functionality of an ADSL2+ modem, four-port Ethernet switch, built-in Wireless-G access point, as well as a router into a single device. It is designed to deliver a speedy, secure and resilient wireless environment allowing consumers to share their home broadband connection to access the Internet, while also sharing files between devices on the home network, printing documents to a wireless printer and remotely monitor the user’s home and family with a wireless IP camera. The WAG54G2 features the same industrial design as seen with other routers and gateways in the Linksys by Cisco family. It has a smooth black finish and an internal antenna which integrates into the device body without compromising signal coverage. Also built into the gateway is the Linksys Easy Link Advisor (LELA) application, a technology adviser that assists consumers in setting up and monitoring their home networks. The unit features several security features including port filtering, MAC and IP address filtering, DMZ Hosting and NAT technology.
Distributed by Express Data, Ingram Micro, Multimedia Technology and Simms International.
