Bluechip boosts components offering

Bluechip Infotech has added Asus graphics cards and motherboards along with Hong Kong-headquartered vendor, Manli Graphics, to its portfolio.
Bluechip sales and marketing manager, Wesley Wong, said it wanted to offer a wider range of products for whitebox builders. The distributor also carries chassis manufacturer AOpen and Apacer, and sub-distribute Logitech products.
“Usually in a PC you would have up to eight components,” he said. “It makes no sense to just offer three items out of eight, so as a result we have taken up Asus motherboards and graphics cards. We believe that providing a selection of value products to dealers is the way to go and it can help reduce their time of shopping around and selecting products.”
Dealers that have customers that want to purchase fully assembled PCs have access to a system building facility, Wong added.
“We’re still trying to serve the whitebox builder market that specialise in the gaming segment and system integrators,” he said.
Wong said he wanted to expand Bluechip’s reach into attracting value-added and SMB resellers.
“Our advantage is because we have a smaller range of products, we can offer more solutions and a more personalised service,” he said. “We have a selective product range and a group of customers that we think we can serve better than the bigger distributors like Ingram and Synnex."
