Printer vendor, Epson, has granted full distributor status to Tonnex, 18 months after the companies began working together.
Epson director of marketing communications, Mike Pleasants, said the vendor was pleased with Tonnex’s growth and representation of the brand.
“Eighteen months ago we brought Tonnex on-board as we thought it showed potential. The company has done all the right things, and expanded rapidly, so it came to do our part of the initial arrangement and appoint it as a full distributor,” Pleasants said.
Tonnex will continue to focus on Epson consumables, Pleasants said. The other distributors that carry Epson consumables are Ingram Micro, BMS, Alloys, Johnson Technology, xiT, Leader Computers, CompuWholesale, RDT, Synnex and Phoenix Toner.
Tonnex director, George Solomon, said the partnership status upgrade would help increase its business and reach with Epson, which had already represented a good portion of the distributor’s overall business.
“We’ve had a record March and continue to grow. We are interested in speaking to other vendors that may potentially fit with us, and the convenience in being a full distributor with Epson is a big boost for us,” Solomon said.
