Extend Technologies has rounded out its Australian footprint, opening a Perth office to service its Western Australia interests.
The SAP partner has hired Brandon Hogan as its western regions deliver manager, and Simon Adams as its senior account manager. The two will head up a staff of seven initially, with Extend planning on increasing that number to 30 by the end of 2009.
Extend managing director, Max White, said the WA market was a natural progression for the integrator, as it shared similarities to processes involved in a number of its key target verticals in its Queensland business.
“There are operational similarities for us in verticals such as mining and agriculture between the two states, which makes this an efficient and profitable expansion for us,” White said.
“With SAP providing a nationally consistent message around its direct and indirect business, we’ve been able to pick up some SAP staff, such as Adams, who has been the Perth SAP manager for 11 years, which will also help us establish our presence."
Extend has five key lines of business – SAP licensing and services, HCM, SAP/ Microsoft integration, business intelligence and SAP support. White said the business intelligence area was one of the biggest areas of growth for Extend.
