Anyware Computer Accessories has landed a distribution deal with Smart IT
Anyware Computer Accessories has landed a new distribution deal with Denmark-based consumer technology vendor, Smart IT.
The distributor will take charge of Smart’s OXX Digital Internet radio range, which provides live access to more thAN 11,000 radio stations globally and features a choice of wireless or LAN cable connections. Anyware national marketing manager, Steve Grant, said the deal would provide the distributor a level of differentiation in the market.
“We don’t want to have too much competing product,” he said. “Smart IT has had a look at our distribution model and the work that we’ve been doing with other brands and thought we provided a good route to market for them.”
Grant said target markets include retail outlets and resellers that have niche customers. Anyware has about 12,000 retailers and resellers on its books.
“It’s a bit different to some of the products that we do at the moment,” he said. “We’re investing our own time into doing internal training and are providing support to the channel to take it up. With some of the larger chains we can offer and coordinate training opportunities.”
Grant said the distributor intended to expand its business this year by enhancing its relationship with resellers and offering value-added bundles.
“We’re focusing on constant stream of new products that are coming through and maintaining an aggressive stance in the market place,” Grant said. “Our level business has been going really strong. We’ve been quite resilient to the economic downturn and our vendors have been steadily bringing out new products.”
