24/7 Distribution has taken the wrappers off a new Sydney services centre complete with concierge and lab facilities for partners and their customers.
The new Technical Centre, based in the Sydney suburb of North Ryde, features several training rooms and boardroom, as well as a technical lab, demonstration centre and dedicated channel room for accessing 24/7’s resources and support. The highlight of the facility is its concierge services, which include in-room catering and a concierge desk to aid partners with things like car and flight bookings.
Managing director, Tony Geagea, said the new facilities allowed it to showcase its vendors and capabilities while giving partners a modern space to work in. The facility is open to all partners and is manned by four dedicated staff.
“Our mantra is being very service focused – what we have done is meshed hospitality and the services piece by bringing concierge services into the IT space to give customers comfort and make them feel welcome,” he said. “In times of economic uncertainty, people typically lean towards good service.”
Last week, 24/7 announced a new distribution deal with networking vendor, 3Com. The distributor’s other vendor partners include HP ProCurve, Mitel and Expand Networks.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
