My favourite book or movie… I try and read every night as it helps switch the mind off from work. I’ve just finished the latest Lee Child novel, Nothing To Lose. I love his Jack Reacher books. I’m now reading an older Peter Watt book, Papua.
If I could go anywhere… it’d be Antarctica. We live in a world now where there aren’t many places that haven’t been touched by humans. Antarctica would be one of the last places with minimal human impact...as it slowly melts away.
If I wasn’t doing this job… Having just been to the RAAF Amberley Air Show, I think if I had my time over I’d want to be what every boy dreams of being – a fighter pilot. What those guys can do with their aircraft never ceases to amaze me.
The person I most admire… I was fortunate enough to visit Gallipoli for Anzac Day 2002 and after seeing what those men went through, you can’t help but feel the utmost admiration for them. We may have “a bad day at the office” but visiting a place like that put things very much in perspective.
I really hate… Volvo drivers... just kidding! I really hate lack of initiative in people. People that need to be micromanaged drive me crazy.
