IronPort appoints NSW head

Luke Healy to help drive security vendor's play into the mid-market space

Cisco security subsidiary, IronPort, has appointed Luke Healy as its NSW territory manager.

Healy joins the vendor on the back of a period of recruitment, where it brought on six other staff in the early part of the year.

IronPort general manager, John Martens, said the appointment was made to take advantage of the potential market in NSW.

"Healy was a brand new appointment and was made on the desire to focus more on the mid-market," Martens said. "We've been very successful with Government and enterprise customers, but we're industry and organisation size agnostic."

Healy's appointment brings IronPort's total headcount to 15, with five located in NSW. Martens said there would almost certainly be further appointments in the near future.

Prior to joining IronPort, Healy spent two years at IBM Internet Security Systems. He also spent five years with Cisco where he was responsible for Cisco's Public Sector business in the UK.

IronPort was acquired by Cisco in January of last year.
