Ron Jarvis has returned to distributor, Bluechip Infotech, resuming his sales director duties after a five-month break from the industry.
“The opportunity was always there to come back,” he said. “It was always understood that around this time I would chat with [Bluechip managing director] Johnson Hsiung. I’m looking forward to coming back into the industry.”
Jarvis plans include driving Bluechip's national sales, marketing initiatives and increasing its product portfolio.
“I’ll be doing some interstate travelling to our branch offices to get a feel of what’s happening in the market,” he said.
Jarvis has a long history in the local distribution industry and was a partner of Melbourne-based distributor, BBF, which was purchased by Bluechip in 2003.
Earlier this year, the distributor opened a new Adelaide warehouse to service that part of the market.
In September, Bluechip became the first local distributor for networking vendor, Edimax.
