Last year's champion... itX’s Paul Sadler
It’s Movember time of the year again and ARN is calling on those in the IT industry representatives growing facial furniture to send in photos of their efforts and join our TechMo’ Gallery.
The not-for-profit Movember Foundation (au.movember.com) runs the event each year to raise awareness around men's health issues, with a focus on prostate cancer and depression in men. The charity has collected over $30 million since its inception in 2004.
Last year, more than 120 representatives from the channel community submitted their mug shots for ARN’s TechMo’ gallery. After opening up the snapshots to an online vote, itX’s Paul Sadler was duly crowned our mo’champion, and ARN donated $500 to the charity via his sponsorship number. Check out our Rogues Gallery of last year’s participants for some of the best (and worst) examples.
Those participating this year should send photos to nadia_cameron@idg.com.au together with your name, company and the sponsorship number issued by movember.com so that others in the industry have the opportunity to sponsor you.
All photos should be head and shoulders shots that display your TechMo' in all its glory. They will be displayed on ARN's website.
We will accept new Movember photos until the end of the month, then hold an online vote. ARN will again pledge $500 to Movember on behalf of the winning TechMo' so please make sure to provide your sponsorship number when sending in your photos. All money raised goes to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and national depression initiative, beyondblue.
Good luck!
