Brocade hires principal consultant

Network provider hires ex-Commander staffer, Phillip Robustellini to head up Canberra office

Datacentre network provider, Brocade, has hired Phillip Robustellini as a principal consultant for the Federal Government sector.

He was previously the national practice manager for Commander’s Enterprise storage division.

Robustellini will be based in the newly-established Canberra office and be responsible for managing the vendor’s relationships with government-focused channel partners and OEMs, which include Hitachi Data Systems, HP, EMC, Sun, NetApp, Fujitsu and IBM.

“My plan for the ACT is to really generate our presence here and look at opportunities to grow our business across the entire Federal government,” he said. “We’re communicating more directly with partners in the region and the client base.”

Robustellini said he woanted to attract new channel partners in the ACT market.

“There are some significant locally-based channel partners,” he said. “We’re looking at continuing our relationship with our global and national partners, but also our Australian partners that specialise in enterprise storage, management, solutions and ICT strategy specialists.”

Robustellini’s resume also includes roles at Computer Enterprises Australia, StorageTek, CSC, Micros Fidelio and Volante.
