Data#3 has won a multimillion dollar deal with the Department of Defence
Data#3 has won a multimillion dollar three-year deal with the Department of Defence to provide Microsoft LAR services.
Under the agreement, the integrator will work with the department to offer the most value out of their investment in Microsoft software.
Data#3 CEO, John Grant, said it was a significant contract win and highlighted the possibility the contract could be extended to other Federal government agencies.
“When Defence came out with their tender, they advised that it would not only be a tender for Defence but the intention would be to apply it across the whole of government. It was a very key contract to win,” he said.
“They were looking for a large account reseller to service their enterprise agreements. We’ve been working with a number of Federal government agencies for the last two years, and we’ve put in place a number of agreements on an agency-by-agency basis.”
Grant said Data#3 put together a bid that involved a range of options from software management services through to license procurement.
“Those options will still be available if the contract does get extended,” he said. “The government is being very careful with where and how much it spends. We have dedicated a team of two people located in Canberra that are fully supported by our NSW team and if the contract gets extended beyond defence, then we’ll be looking to broaden our resources.”
Last year, Data#3 became one of three successful panellists on the [artid: 278599359| Queensland whole-of-government contract.|new]]
