BlueAnt has terminated it's agreement with Cellnet
ASX-listed distributor, Cellnet, has lost its authorised distributor status with telco accessories vendor, BlueAnt.
BlueAnt produces Bluetooth and hands-free accessories for mobile phones.
Cellnet managing director, Stephen Harrison said the vendor had terminated the agreement.
The partnership had been responsible for a substantial number of Cellnet’s car kit sales, he said.
“It’s a bit disappointing, but it was BlueAnt’s decision to make, and we have other vendors in that space to push into the market,” Harrison said.
“We are a distributor for Jabra, who is the largest vendor in this space, we have our own brand and a few smaller vendors as well. We expect those vendors to pick up the BlueAnt sales.”
Harrison said Cellnet is currently looking into the market for additional hands-free accessory vendors and focused on the launch of a new range of Jabra products.
“We’re also refreshing the whole Cellnet range. We’ve got new packaging and promotions planned, and a new catalogue to come out soon which we’ll be pushing to the telco and retail channels,” Harrison said.
