Manaccom Corporation (ASX:MNL) has acquired defunct software distributor Intellitron for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Brisbane, Intellitron closed down earlier this month.
A number of the titles distributed through Intellitron were already licensed from Manaccom
“Many of Intellitron’s former resellers were indirectly purchasing from our range of products. This purchase will enable us to expand our offering to those customers,” said Manaccom deputy chairman, Ian Mackay.
Itself a distributor, Manaccom owns the rights to on-sell hundreds of products, including Trend Micro's security suites, Acronis True Image, Zone Alarm and Net Nanny.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
