Nokia Australia is now offering 24-month extended warranties for new Nokia phones.
Under the Nokia Care Protect scheme, customers can purchase a 12-month extension to the original 12-month warranty for a small fee.
The cost is an extra $13 for devices in the Nokia 1000-2000 range, $34 for 3000-7000 models and $72 for Nokia Eseries and Nseries phones.
Customers can purchase the warranty at the time of purchase or until the original warranty runs out.
Under Australian law, customers may seek a refund or replacement for any product which fails to live up to reasonable expectations for the lifetime of a product - regardless the existence of a warranty.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
