ARN Salary Calculator: What are you worth?

Vendor and integrator sales professionals earn twice as much as distribution

Sales professionals can earn twice as much working for vendors or integrators than they do within distribution, according to early results compiled through the ARN Salary Calculator.

The launch of the calculator follows the ARN Salary Survey, conducted in conjunction with Computerworld and PC World, which was completed by more than 1500 industry professionals. It covers a broad spectrum of job functions, industries and geographies.

The 44 IT vendor sales executives in NSW that completed our Salary Survey reported average earnings of $178,977; while the 12 professionals in similar roles with NSW VARs or systems integrators earn a few dollars more with an average of $180,208. Within distribution, however, 36 NSW respondents in sales roles had a much lower average salary of $95,486.
