Lan 1 is bringing IP security vendor, Isonas, to Australia
Lan 1 is bringing IP security vendor, Isonas, to Australia in a bid to increase IT reseller involvement in physical security solutions.
Isonas produces IP access control solutions for customers who need real-time door control. Lan 1 product manager of IP surveillance, Basil Delimitros, said the product line was complementary to the IP storage and networking vendors in the distributor’s portfolio.
“Our goal is to offer a complete IP network solution, from storage to remote access. We’ll be offering Isonas products in bundles and taking it to our existing security market [channel],” Delimitros said.
He claimed IP security was a significant contributor to the growth of Lan 1.
“It’s a growing market – analysts are predicting a 40 per cent compounded annual growth for the next five years,” he said. “It’s also becoming a viable business venture for IT companies to be getting involved in.”
Isonas products will be launched locally at the Security 2008 Exhibition.
Delimitros said it was the first time the vendor will have had a local presence.
He said there were no plans to bring on other IP security-based vendors in the short term.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
