Ingram Micro has formed a partnership with Dr. PC to provide installation services for its Consumer Home and Office Solutions Division (CHOS).
Under the arrangement, Adelaide-based Dr. PC will offer installation and services across networking, IP security, entertainment and digital signage in corporate, SMB and home environments. The nationwide partnership also allows Ingram Micro resellers to purchase a range of redeemable Dr. PC installation packs which they can on-sell to consumers.
Ingram Micro CHOS business unit manager, Jacqueline Bergin, said bringing Dr. PC on-board was the final step in its plans to offer a complete solution to resellers.
"Bundling is a key part of this arrangement. We got very positive feedback from resellers at our Brisbane Expotech [tradeshow], where Dr. PC had a booth. This is the first stage of the model so we're going to see how this grows before we look to bring on other partners with similar services," Bergin said.
Dr. PC managing director, David Raffen, said the Adelaide-based company had previously been offering its services direct to customers across Australia but felt Ingram Micro was best positioned to take the services Australia-wide.
"We've no plans on working with any other distributors. Our philosophy is to only have the one distributor to form a close partnership with," he said.
