IT support and consulting company, Calvert Technologies, has appointed Peter Kafka as a service coordinator as part of ongoing growth plans.
The position has been newly created to improve the efficiency of engineers at the Adelaide-based company.
"I do the administrative tasks while they concentrate on the work, which gives the technicians more time to bill," he said.
Kafka comes to the company with 25 years experience in the IT industry. He spent 15 years with Baulderstone Hornibrook and was recently the IT manager for Safcol. His appointment brings the total headcount at the company to eight.
Kafka said the main appeal of his new role was working in a small business.
"I needed something that wasn't so sterile and structured. Calvert has a comfortable feel to it, I'm very happy with the people here and I hope to make a positive impact," he said.
In a statement, Calvert Technologies managing director, Dean Calvert, said the services coordinator role will allow the company to provide a more orderly delivery of services and improve internal communication processes.
