Close to 1000 resellers descended on Darling Harbour in Sydney last Wednesday for Ingram Micro's ExpoTech.
A 'Solutions Boulevard' featured the products and services of the distributor's Solutions Group vendors including HP, IBM, Microsoft, CA, Symantec, VMware, PlateSpin and SonicWall.
Earlier in the afternoon, it was standing room only for Ingram Micro's virtualisation road show.
A total of 53 vendors displayed their wares including Toshiba, Acer, D-Link, Netgear, LG, Sony, Kyocera and Lexmark.
The event is traditionally a showcase for smaller resellers to see lots of the latest and greatest technology under one roof but some heavy-hitters spotted walking the floor this year included Alphawest's Ed Jeffers and Corporate Express' Marcus Heron.
"We're all in the sales business at the end of the day but relationships are still king," Ingram Micro marketing manager, David Lazberger, said. "That's why events like this are so important."
