Queensland distributor, NetOpt, has signed an exclusive arrangement with US WAN router vendor, SYSWAN.
The arrangement covers SYSWAN's Duolink and Octolink multi WAN routers initially. NetOpt product manager, Rick Nand, said the distributor had access to, and planned on carrying, future SYSWAN products.
"There was a gap in our product line for dual-link routers, and our partners have been requesting them," Nand said.
SYSWAN has not had a presence in Australia previously. Nand said the partnership began as a result of a close working relationship between NetOpt and SYSWAN CEO, Erik Shun, when Shun was with rival vendor, XiNCOM.
NetOpt is in the process of recruiting resellers for the SYSWAN line, and is planning on working with service providers to include the line-in solutions bundles.
"SYSWAN products have healthy margins for resellers, and we'll be running a points-based incentive scheme to offer higher discounts for volume sales," Nand said.
