Manaccom takes Trend to Harvey Norman OFIS

Manaccom to supply Harvey Norman's new OFIS outlets

Software publisher and distributor, Manaccom (ASX:MNL), has become a preferred software supplier for Harvey Norman's new OFIS retail stores.

OFIS stores are aimed at supplying equipment for the office environment and will carry a range of computer and stationery products. Two initial locations are planned - at Albury in regional NSW and the Sydney CBD in the first quarter of this year.

Harvey Norman OFIS general manager, Paul English, said the long time goal was to have 100 locations nationally.

OFIS' partnership with Manaccom will initially focus on the distributor's range of Trend Micro software. Manaccom is also a distributor for software from Acronis, Cyberlink, Net Nanny and Zone Labs.

"We decided to work with Manaccom because they've been a good, flexible software partner for us for a long time now," English said.

Manaccom CEO, James Mackay, said the arrangement strengthened its relationship with Harvey Norman as a whole and should lead to increased reach and revenue growth.

"We think this is a good opportunity, as Harvey Norman will be running this franchise differently to normal. It will be more of an Office Works-style setup, and run on efficiencies and a more concise product range," Mackay said.
