Defrag on demand, without the crash

Defragmenting software company Diskeeper recently released the new version of its product, Diskeeper 2008.
The product sets itself apart from other defragmentation products on the market, according to spokesman Marcus Galindo, by running on-the-fly, sensing when the machine needs to be defragmented and running the program in the background.
The company utilizes its InvisiTasking tool to use idling resources to conduct the process in the background, allowing the user to maintain optimal performance instead of suffering the freezing, crashing, and inability to use their machine that Galindo said is a common problem with defragmentation of a system.
The product runs on a variety of machines, with licenses ranging between US$49.95 for the professional workstation version up to US$999 for an enterprise server version.

v2009 Diskeeper Screams (Fast)
FYI: There are now enterprise strength defrag engines in ALL 2009 Diskeeper workstation editions to max out the desktop. From the pre-release announcement:
"Everyday desktops have exponentially increased in storage capacity. So Diskeeper Pro Premier workstation now contains the Terabyte Volume Engine™ technology. This has the defrag horsepower necessary to rapidly eliminate tens of thousands to millions of fragments on drives from 60 GB on up.
"Diskeeper Professional edition now includes I-FAAST® 2.0 (Intelligent File Access Acceleration Sequencing Technology). This squeezes 10% – 80% more performance out of the drive for the most commonly accessed files. This is on top of the notable gains found from routine defragmentation."
