IT services company, Ethan Group, has won a multi-million dollar contract to revamp Stellar's call centre processes.
Ethan won the contract in a competitive tender following a six-month, proof-of-concept process.
Stellar CIO, Warwick Marx, said Ethan's superior price and flexibility were winning factors.
Ethan will upgrade and maintain Stellar's hardware and software infrastructure.
The hardware to be implemented comes from vendor, Mitel, with the software to be provided by Aspect. The upgrades will improve the processes and compliance for employees to respond to multimedia communications, as well as traditional voice communication.
Marx said the contract was the first large-scale deal between the two companies and was open-ended.
Ethan Group division manager, Shadi Haddad, said the deal would help it become a serious player in the call centre space.
"Stellar is taking this platform globally. At this stage we'll be handling offshore integration of the platform," he said.
