HP's local Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) and consumer business is on the hunt for a new boss following Christoph Schell's promotion to a regional role.
Schell will take over as Asia-Pacific and Japan vice-president for IPG as well as its Consumer Go-to-Market Unit (GTMU) from January 1. He is also relocating to Singapore. He replaces Han Kong Leong, who is now managing the Supplies Business for APJ.
In a statement, HP said Schell will assume responsibility for the consumer IPG category across all products, solutions and market strategies. He is also tasked with overseeing HP's consumer business for IPG and the Personal Systems Group (PSG).
The vendor plans to announce Schell's local successor before January 1. An HP spokesperson said no other changes were expected across the IPG team.
Schell took over the local IPG reins from Rebekah O'Flaherty in April last year. He has been with the vendor for 10 years and was general manager of HP's Central Europe, Africa, Middle East and Russia solution partner organisation before coming to Australia.
