Cyclades PM

According to the vendor, this device features the highest port density in the market at 10 power outlets per unit. Its intelligent power distribution units (IPDUs) enable remote server and network power management and control. When used in conjunction with Cyclades ACS advanced console servers, Cyclades KVM switches or the AlterPath Manager, the IPDUs provide an integrated power management system accessible through a single interface. Some features and benefits of Cyclades PM include independent control of power ports (power on/off/cycle), support for name assignment of power ports, LED on/off power indicators per power port and an over-current alarm. The hardware can be mounted horizontally or vertically.

Upsonic DS800

The DS800 is part of Upsonic s Domestic UPS series for various applications. According to the vendor, the new unit is a high quality, compact and affordable system for the home, office or retail POS environment. It features an automatic voltage regulator to maintain secure and regulated output voltage without utilising batteries for all main voltages between 180VAC and 280 VAC. The Domestic Series can be used in conjunction with Upsonic's intelligent interface software to provide detailed information on the status of input power quality. It can also be used to record power events and perform a fully automatic system save and shutdown in the event of a power failure.

APC Smart UPS RT 6000VA and 8000VA

These double conversion, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units offer support for blade servers and heavily loaded equipment racks and allow standardisation across multiple applications. Delivering high performance power protection in a 3U rack height, the 6000VA model is an online UPS delivering scalable runtime in a small unit space. This makes it ideal for supporting voice and data networks in a variety of environments, from computer rooms to datacentres, APC said. Eaton Powerware Managed ePDU

The product runs off a server-grade microprocessor and has an array of management and monitoring capabilities which allow users to monitor their power down to the individual outlet level. Features include the ability to create user-definable outlet sequencing and time delays for controlled and remote server boot-up. 256-bit encryption ensures secure communication, while the units built-in IPMI and SMASH CLI capability provides quality user access to computer hardware and electrical power distribution units (ePDUs). The Power ware Managed ePDU is flash-upgradeable, enabling users to add new software and updates. It also features branch circuit breaker protection in an extruded aluminium chassis. Available in 0U, 1U and 2U configurations, the Power-ware Managed ePDU has five mounting positions and can be integrated with racks and server cabinets.

MGE Systems Enterprise Power Manager

This dedicated power management tool can manage networked UPS systems more easily and at a much lower cost than most of the major NMS platforms, MGE claims. The UPS network manager provides an overall, consolidated view of the main operating parameters of all UPS systems. This information is accessible from almost any workstation using a standard Web browser. Users have the ability to sort through the UPS overviews according to the most critical parameters such as the location and system status. It also features alarms that are centralised and can be transmitted, if required, by email or SMS. The log of events and operations helps preventive management of the UPS network.

This UPS machine has plenty of features including power factor correction, internal batteries, frequency conversion, unlimited external battery connect-ability, and internal automatic/manual bypass capability. It also has software that allows users to custom configure it for any application or environment. Additional features includes True On Line (double conversion) technology.
