UXC subsidiary, Integ, has launched a hosted Telephony as a Service (iTaaS) offering.
The hardware and software will be owned by Integ and hosted in a secure datacentre with IP handsets stationed at the user's location.
CEO, Ian Poole, said he was seeing high demand in the market for this type of solution and predicted it would represent about 30 per cent of the company's revenue by 2010.
"We will be offering iTaaS to 250-seat plus organisations. Our main targets will include corporate and government," he said. "We believe it will be a high growth market and it's going to be very large in years to come."
The fees for using iTaaS will be based on number of users and types of application required.
"Customers pay a monthly fee on a per-user basis so it's cost effective. We will also automatically upgrade it so users have the latest features and software, and it gives users a choice and flexibility in the features and functionality they need," Poole said.
The IP telephony service includes a range of options for users including unified communications around messaging, collaboration and presence, contact centre solutions, a range of wired and wireless handsets, and softphones.
The first corporate implementation is expected to be announced shortly.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
