Systems integrator, GlobalConnect Australia, has bumped up its southern personnel headcount with two new executives in its Melbourne office.
Managing director, Pushkar Taneja, said that an increase in awareness of the brand had necessitated the appointments of account directors, Trish McBride and Joanne Feehan.
"With all the work we've been doing in the southern region around Avaya solutions, it has really started to catch the attention of prospects," he said. "Even existing customers are learning about the additional technologies we are offering lately."
Taneja said that McBride, who has a 21-year background at VoIP, Rockwell FirstPoint Contact, Memorex Telex and Lava Systems, would be working on business development management. Feehan, with 12 years of sales and account management experience, including a seven-year stint with Macquarie Telecom, would be tasked with working existing accounts.
"The market is so buoyant at this stage and we're seeing a lot of traction from the work we're doing," Taneja said. "In talking to analysts, I believe the market will continue to grow for another two years at least."
