Kazacos to chair Australian document creator

IT veteran plans to incorporate the software developer into forthcoming distribution venture

Kaz founder, Peter Kazacos, has signed on as chairman of document creation specialist, Intelledox, with a view to adding its software to his forthcoming distribution venture, PK Business Advantage.

Intelledox is a document creation platform which allows end-users to create complex documents and, in particular, forms that programmers might have historically been called upon to provide. The Australian-owned software is already used locally by the Australian Capital Territory Planning and Land Authority; Department of Disability, Housing and Community Services, ACT Government; and IP Australia.

The IT veteran said the relationship with Intelledox was mutually beneficial.

"I'm adding to the equation by trying to get some buy-in from larger organisations and big outsourcers," Kazacos said. "I have contacts in a lot of these areas, as well as in the Asian market, from my past life. I will also be looking at adding it to PKBA."

Kazacos founded IT services firm, Kaz, in 1988. The company listed on the ASX in 2000 before finally being sold to Telstra in 2004. The entrepreneur cut ties with the business last September, with an eye on starting a new venture, Kazacos Industries Group. PK Business Advantage is a business unit.

The business is focused on delivering software applications that can be run under a utility computing model to resellers.

"I can't elaborate too much, but Intelledox will one of the businesses offered under PK Business Advantage at launch," he said. "It makes sense to be on the board of some of the companies that I want to have with PKBA which is going to find all those software jewels in Australia that need to unleashed."
